Podcast SummaryOnly the best Hip Hop and R&B music from the past present and future. Good music from major artists and Independent artists! About BillyWilliam Dabbs, also known as Billy Bathgate is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. Billy has always been lover of Hip-Hop music at an early age. He used to spend every moment listening to his parents’ old records in the basement as a young child. He even took on DJ duties at the young age of 6 at his parents’ cookouts. Due to the declining economy of the early 1980's Billy's mother moved to Atlanta, Georgia in search of a better life. As an Atlanta transplant in early 80's, Billy was exposed to the popular dirty south hip-hop style. After graduating high school, Billy explored world through the U.S. Navy. After his military service ended in early 1994, Billy went to college and obtained an Associate in Arts degree in Music Entertainment Management from The Art Institute of Atlanta. While in school, Billy had numerous industry jobs and internships. Including working for Too Short at his Dangerous Music recording studios. After college Billy juggled a dual career as 12-year Atlanta area firefighter and a career as an up and coming producer and DJ. Billy eventually became one third of the three man Hip-Hop production crew known as "The Hylandaz." After producing music for various independent recording artists as well as numerous independent record releases and doing numerous shows in U.S. cities, Billy decided that it was time to make a change in his music career and his life. Billy decided to make the move to Costa Rica to make a change for the better for himself as well as for his family. Billy is currently in process of transitioning to Costa Rica and currently networking with people in the Costa Rican hip-hop community.
